Peer-support education weekend
Do you want to learn more about how to support others living with HIV online?
On October 11, Hiv-Sweden invites you to a course in digital peer support for people living with HIV. The course is aimed at those who want to learn more about providing digital support for others living with HIV, and who want to gain knowledge and practical experience in how to support peers.
We will cover topics such as different digital platforms, what peer support can look like in practice, and combine theory with role-playing and hands-on exercises.
Participants who complete the course and are interested will also have the opportunity to become part of Hiv-Sweden's peer network, Peer2Peer. Peer2Peer is a platform with peer mentors/supporters where people living with HIV can find someone to talk to, seek advice from, and connect with.
The course is specifically for people living with HIV and is organized by Hiv-Sweden in collaboration with Positiva Gruppen Väst and Positiva Gruppen Syd. Hiv-Sweden covers travel, accommodation, and meals for all participants. Everyone who completes the course will also receive a certificate.
Sign up no later than Thursday, October 2. The number of spots is limited.
The course is a full-day event, held on Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00. For those who are interested and available, we’re also hosting an optional group dinner on Friday evening at 19:00.
Haven’t attended one of our trainings or events before? No worries – you’re more than welcome to join!
